All junior and senior high age young people (grades 6 to 12) are invited to participate in the annual Southern California Bible and Church History Tournament! The junior division is for grades 6 to 8, and the senior division is for grades 9 to 12. The young people in the Southland love this Tournament where they enjoy learning about the Scriptures and our Church, as well as meeting other Orthodox young people from different parishes of our various jurisdictions. The day includes games, activities, lunch, the presentation of trophies to the winning teams, and concludes with the Service of the Ninth Hour. This year the tournament will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by the First Annual Music Festival for Youth Choirs from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 405 N. Dale Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92801. We thank the pastor of St. John, Fr. John Kariotakis; and the assistant pastor of St. John, Fr. Constantine Trumpower; along with the entire St. John community for their kindness and hospitality. The Youth Choir Festival will be under the direction of Jonathan Braun, the pastoral assistant at St. Steven Serbian Orthodox Cathedral.
