All Day

The Missions Possible annual campaign (formerly Mochas for Missions) runs from Pascha to Pentecost. This campaign supports our Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Missions & Evangelism Ministry. Our mission is to educate, equip, and engage clergy and faithful in Evangelism & Mission in the Orthodox Christian Tradition. We provide evangelism workshops and retreats, facilitate the sharing of best practices, subsidize needs at the six mission parishes throughout our Metropolis, engage with national research in evangelism, and work to help ALL parishes creatively share the Gospel in their local context.

Today we are working with His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos to establish new parishes in growing metropolitan areas.

Ministry Facts

  • Our Ministry was founded in 1991.
  • During his 25 years as a hierarch, Metropolitan Anthony established 23 new parishes in the Metropolis of San Francisco. The original funding source for our work came from Pennies and Prayers.
  • In 2014, as a result of the Metropolis Strategic Plan, the Missions and Evangelism Ministry hired its first full-time employee. The 2015-2017 the campaign was called Mochas for Missions, and from 2018 through today it is Missions Possible.
  • Our Metropolis has six mission parishes, which we define as parishes that do not yet have a full-time priest assigned.

Create your parish team page and support Missions Possible. All funds raised go to work in the Metropolis of San Francisco.
