Each year the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Hellenic Education and Culture Committee (HECC) organizes an event in celebration of the Feast of the Three Hierarchs – Saint Basil the Great, Saint Gregory the Theologian and Saint John Chrysostom. These three saints are considered the most important Teachers and Fathers for their exemplary work in literature, education and the promotion of the Greek Language. In conjunction with this celebration is the observation of Greek Letters Day which includes the Sixth Annual Contest of Letters and Arts sponsored by HECC following the theme, “Learn or teach, let all be in love.” The contest includes submissions in the areas of Writing, Music, Film, Photography and Painting-Crafting.
Prizes and Awards will be presented by His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco during the awards celebration.
