The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco and the Greek Language and Culture (GLC) Ministry are pleased to offer this webinar to share different online tools to create games for enhancing instruction and making online learning more interesting while maintaining the integrity of your lessons and objectives. Our presenter, Anastassia Tzoytzoyrakos, will share how she uses online tools such as quizlet, kahoot, bamboozle, jeopardy online and google earth. Different age groups and language levels will be discussed.
About Our Presenter
Anastassia Tzoytzoyrakos is Master Lecturer with the American Language Institute at the University of Southern California. She is a member of the Higher Council of Greek Education and the Center for Greek Language and Culture. Anastassia has a passion for classical education. She is co-founder of Adelphia Classical Christian Academy, a K-12 classical school that has been in operation since 2014. Anastassia has also served as the Director of St. Basil Greek Language School in San Juan Capistrano, CA since 2010. She holds a M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Biola University, a B.A. in Economics from University of California, Irvine, and Sorbonne II in French.
Guest Speaker: Evangelia Dimitropoulou
Evangelia has a Master of Arts, in “Teaching Modern Greek As Foreign/Second Language” and she is currently teaching Modern Greek as Foreign/second/heritage at the Hellenic Education Center in VA. As an educator she believes in student centered, experiential, hands-on education. Her motto is taken from Seneca and characterizes her teaching "Non scholae sed vitae discimus". Through her lessons she strives to build bridges between knowledge and real life.
