Join Orthodox young adults from across the West Coast for a Fall Retreat at Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center the weekend of Thursday, October 16 – Sunday, October 19, 2025. Young Adults ages 18 – 35 from all Orthodox traditions are welcome to attend a weekend of hiking, prayer, and fellowship.

The retreat theme will be “Glory to Thee for Every Step of My Life’s Journey” with guest speaker Rev. Archdeacon Justin Bosl from Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church in Castro Valley, CA. Saint Paul instructs us to “walk in the Spirit.” As we walk this spiritual ascent, there are stages of spiritual perfection which are the foundation of Orthodox Spirituality. We will explore together the spiritual path to Christ's Kingdom!

Adventure Package: Arrive Thursday evening, October 16, and join us Friday morning, October 17, for a full-day hiking trip to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks before the retreat officially begins.

Regular Weekend Package: Beginning Friday evening, October 17, we will gather at St. Nicholas Ranch for a weekend of discussion, fellowship, and prayer. We’ll also visit the Sisters at the Monastery of the Life-Giving Spring to assist with a meaningful work project and church services, along with other engaging activities throughout the weekend.

Profile Dn Justin Bosl

Rev. Archdeacon Justin Bosl

Archdeacon Justin has served at Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church in Castro Valley, California since his ordination in 2021. He was elevated to the office of archdeacon in December 2023. In addition to completing the Diaconate Program at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, he has also studied at the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, Cambridge, UK and the Antiochian House of Studies. He is currently completing his Th.M. at Holy Cross. Archdeacon Justin serves the Church in a variety of ways including teaching adult education at his parish, and through serving on the Metropolis Council Executive Committee and the Boards of Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center, FOCUS North America, and OYM (Orthodox Youth Ministries). He is also a licensed attorney. He and his Diakonissa Annemarie have four children ages 21-16.
