We Read Together is an online book study, nurturing conversation and community surrounding books that help us understand our Faith and share it.

The weekly discussions will take place using Zoom videoconferencing on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. PST on May 4, 11, and 18. Register at GrowOrthodoxy.

About the Book

This year’s book selection is The Rise of Christianity, by Rodney Stark (buy on Amazon or through your local bookseller's website). In this book, the author approaches the spread of Christianity in the first centuries from a social science perspective. We learn about the context of those years, the factors conducive to growth, and what we hold in common in the 21st century with that time.

We Read Together is presented by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Missions & Evangelism Ministry. Online discussions will be moderated by Thomaida Hudanish, Director of the Missions & Evangelism Ministry.
