A Free Online Presentation
Is America a mission field? If it is, what do we do about it? What does the Orthodox Church have to offer America that it doesn't already have, and how do we share it?
These are the questions driving this conversation, and we want you to be part of it. The Missions and Evangelism Ministry (MEM) of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco invites you to the next session in our continuing series, America as a Mission Field: What Is the Gospel? on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. PST via Zoom (duration 90 minutes).
This free online event is open to all. Clergy, parish leaders, and anyone interested in sharing the Orthodox faith are warmly encouraged to attend.
Continuing the Conversation
This series brings together clergy from across Orthodox jurisdictions to reflect on how the Church's unchanging message speaks to contemporary American life.
Previous sessions:
This session continues with Fr. Andrew Jarmus and Fr. Christian Siskos, exploring the nature of the Gospel and what it looks like to live and proclaim it within a fragmented, secular culture.
Topics will include:
- What Is the Gospel? What is the message we are called to share
- Is America a Mission Field? Recognizing the opportunities and challenges of bringing Orthodoxy to America as an intentional missionary endeavor
- What Are We Offering? What does the Orthodox Church have to give America that it doesn't already have
- Practical Evangelism: Concrete ways parishes can embody and share the faith locally
There will be time for Q&A, so bring your questions. Spread the word to your parish, your clergy, and anyone asking hard questions about faith in America.
