The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Church Music Federation Ministry invites you to participate in a day of education and inspiration to introduce the history, theology, benefits, and resources to add congregational singing to parish worship.

This free one-day seminar will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 999 Brotherhood Way, San Francisco, CA.

The program includes a morning of education and inspiration for all members and ages of the community and an afternoon of practical materials and guidance for current and aspiring church musicians and leaders. There will be singing tips for all singers, and a panel presentation with Q & A featuring parish music leaders already incorporating congregational singing in their communities. The afternoon will include introduction and read-throughs of music appropriate for parish singing.

Workshop Schedule

  • 8:30 a.m. Morning coffee and check-in
  • 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Program for all parish members, both adult and youth.
  • 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch and fellowship
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Practical materials and guidance for current and aspiring church musicians and leaders
