The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco is pleased to announce the Central Valley GOYA Floating Down the American River event on Thursday, July 8, 2021, hosted by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Sacramento.
Join with other Central Valley GOYAN’s for a water adventure – floating down the picturesque American River. The fun continues back at the church with fellowship, games, and dinner, concluding with the beautiful service of Paraklesis.
SCHEDULE
- 11:00 a.m. Meet at Annunciation in Sacramento/ Check-in/ Lunch
- 11:45 a.m. Drive to the River (have bagged lunches?)
- 12:15 p.m. Arrive at the River
- 2:15 p.m. Finish on the River, Snacks, Ice breakers
- 2:45 p.m. Carpools back to church
- 3:15 p.m. Arrive at Church, change into dry clothes
- 3:45 p.m. Ice breakers, Games/Relay Races in the Platia
- 4:30 p.m. Dinner
- 5:15 p.m. Paraklesis and Q&A with clergy
- 6:45 p.m. Conclusion
