“There is still time for endurance, time for patience, time for healing, time for change.” –Saint Basil the Great

Beloved in the Lord,

The clergy and lay leaders of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco will have the opportunity to gather virtually for the 2021 Metropolis Clergy-Laity Assembly utilizing the Zoom platform. This annual meeting provides a forum for the leadership of all our communities to deliberate on important matters for our Metropolis and engage in dialogue and fellowship to enrich our common ministry. The Assembly will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. PDT on Friday, April 16, and will conclude at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

This year’s Assembly will focus Moving Beyond the Pandemic and Returning to Worship, featuring guest speaker Rev. Father Barnabas Powell. His insightful, informative and practical presentation will focus on how to re-engage our faithful in parish life following the challenges of this past year. There will also be the annual review of the Metropolis finances and the presentation and approval of the 2021 Metropolis Budget.

Online registration is now open and we are requesting full representation from each of our parishes. Registration is complimentary for all our parish delegates as this will be a virtual event.

Please review the agenda and register online today. Your timely response is requested by Monday, April 5, 2021. Please plan your schedules accordingly so that you may fully participate in this Assembly and benefit from the valuable presentations and information that will be offered.

Beseeching the Lord that He may continue to bless you with His grace, peace and love, always protecting you with His Mighty hand, I remain,

With Love in Christ,
+ G E R A S I M O S

Metropolitan of San Francisco
