At the 2026 Clergy-Laity Assembly of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos announced the release of two new publications designed to serve and strengthen the clergy, parishes, and faithful of the Metropolis.
The first publication is the 2025 Annual Report, which offers a comprehensive overview of the life and ministry of the Metropolis over the past year. The report highlights the work of Metropolis ministries, major ecclesiastical and community events, fundraising initiatives, clergy milestones, and the growing visibility and impact of the Metropolis throughout the western United States. Particularly noteworthy are the Registry Statistics, which reflect the continued growth of the Church, with nearly 1,400 children and adults received through baptism and chrismation into parishes of the Metropolis of San Francisco during 2025 alone.
Released concurrently, the 2026 Ministries Resource Guide serves as both an introduction and an invitation to engage more deeply in the life of the Metropolis. The guide presents the scope of Metropolis ministries, outlines planned programs and initiatives for the year ahead, and introduces ministry leaders, providing clear points of connection for clergy, parish leadership, and faithful who wish to access these resources for personal spiritual growth and parish life.
Reflecting on the significance of these publications, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco shared, “These publications bring together the God-pleasing work of our Metropolis, offering both a reflection on the blessings and labors of the past year and a vision for the path ahead. They are intended not only to inform, but to encourage greater engagement with the ministries entrusted to us, so that together we may continue to nurture faith, strengthen our parishes, and serve Christ and His people with gratitude, unity, and hope.”
Both publications were distributed to Assembly participants and are now also available digitally as ongoing resources for the clergy and faithful of the Metropolis. View the 2025 Annual Report and Ministries Resource Guide.
